Wooden
Boat Restoration and Preservation Products
All boats have their own unique set of characteristics. This must be taken into
consideration when developing a restoration plan. Smith & co's CPES™
was manufactured initially for the boating industry. It worked so well under
water or when exposed to severe climatic conditions, boat owners began using
it on many home and cottage applications.
Keeping
the inboard side of the hull dry is a must. After all paints have been removed
from the hull, CPES™ when applied as directed will stabilize
the wood, prevent water intrusion and still let the wood breath. Since CPES™ has
a feature which dissipates moisture in wood, paints, varnish and polyurethane's
bond tenaciously and is no longer effected by water. If water has penetrated
any part of your boat, from stern to bow, from keel to deck-rail CPES™ is
the product you should use.
Fiberglass boats also have a lot of wood. Sometimes water penetrates the GRP
and develops fiberglass hull blisters. Call us! we have a bulletin which will
guide you in your restoration.
Do you have a problem keeping varnish on your teak deck? Call us! We will
tell you how CPES™ can penetrate the outer lawyers, prevent water damage,
will glue your coatings down. No amine blush and no sanding.
